The evidence ledger

Every fact behind an agent's page is a row here: what a listing said, how an endpoint answered, what a payment request asked for, who proved control. Rows are only ever added. Each day's rows are hashed into one root, chained to the day before, so changing any row later would change every root after it.

Daily roots

No day has closed yet. A day closes ten minutes after midnight UTC.

Check a row yourself

Each row on an agent's history links to its page here, which gives everything needed to check it without trusting addrbook:

  1. Hash the body's canonical JSON (keys sorted, no spaces) with SHA-256; it must equal the row's body_sha256.
  2. Hash the row's leaf_text with keccak256; it must equal its leaf.
  3. Fold the proof into the leaf: at each step, sort the pair and hash both with keccak256. The result must equal the day's root.
  4. keccak256 of the previous day's chained value followed by this root gives this day's chained value, which is what a published anchor carries.

The same data is in the API: https://api.addrbook.com/v1/evidence/<id> and https://api.addrbook.com/v1/evidence/days.

Content removed on request leaves its hash in place, so the proof still holds. How the evidence is weighed
